Vision / Mission / Goals

One of the key projects of the New Zealand Association for Adolescent Health and Development (NZAAHD)is Youth Week.

Youth Weeks goal is creating a society that values young people and affirms their diversity.

NZAAHD is a national network organisation for people who work with young people (those aged 12 to 25). NZAAHD was founded in 1989 specifically to promote adolescent health and development.

NZAAHD aims to promote
  • public and professional interest in the circumstances that influence the health and development of young people.
  • co-operation between organisations and individuals interested in adolescent health and development.
  • research into youth health and development and communicate results, education in and enhancement of standards of health care for young people.
  • the provision of the best health services for adolescents
  • the interests and influence of any compatible organisation concerned with youth health and development.

What we currently do in the way of marketing

In terms of Youth Week Direct mailing to yout hservices, schools, our members, libraries ++ Billboard campaign

Message to Students / How you can help

The New Zealand Association for Adolescent Health and Development is focused on supporting people who work with young people. It also coordinates Youth Week. We are working to grow Youth Week and increase young peoples input into the campaign. NZAAHD is also growing and seeking to increase its profile.

We organise an conference every two years with over 500 attendies focused on youth health and development. We are committed to developing our digital presence and are committed to updating/rebuilding the NZAAHD and Youth Week websites and looking for other innovative approaches to engaging with our audiences.
