Vision / Mission / Goals

Until now the main focus has been on the publication and improvement of research on early childhood care and education (providing advice and support to researchers and students doing research and running a network for them). But alot of this good knowledge about childcare and early education is needed out in the community - so we are working in this direction now too.

Very little - all word of mouth - but its time now to get started

Message to Students / How you can help

We need help from a creative and skilled person(s) to develop a cool way of exciting the public to think about and learn about what's best for children's care and learning as babies and preschoolers.

We have knowledge to share and a new broadcast quality video resource on child care and preschool education that could be included in a new website designed for children, parents, teachers and anyone to discuss issues and share ideas. Our current website www.childforum.com is not designed for this - its a static sit - designed more for researchers and not the public.

Children are spending longer hours in childcare and the government is spending millions to increase the provision of childcare services. We want our young people to have the best start to their life possible. It would be great to find a way, digitally, to get our video resource and the knowledge we have from research out to the public and involve young people and adults in improving the lives of our youngest children.
