Tamaki Community Development Trust

Vision / Mission / Goals

The Tamaki Community Development Trust was incorporated in 1995. Its core purpose is to provide counselling, therapy and life skills to individuals, children and families in the Tamaki area. We also do parenting programmes.

Our Vision Statement is: Partnership for Change.

Our Mission Statement is: To work in partnership with our community to provide high quality accessible services in our community to develop interdependent people and strong families. To work towards social, mental, spiritual, physical and emotional well being in individuals and families. To build capacity and develop leadership in our community.

What we currently do in the way of marketing

To date we have relied mostly on word of mouth and referrals but do recognise that we need to develop a marketing plan in order to grow and help people to be more aware of our services. Currently we are working on our branding/logo so that we have something that can identify us easily. This will be used on letterhead, business cards, promotional material and a website. We have plans to do all of the above mentioned things, especially the website and would also like to do a promotional DVD.

Message to Students / How you can help

A student who chooses to help our organisation is at the same time making a valuable contribution to people in our community.

Our vision statement "Partnership for Change" is the core of who we are, as individuals and as a Trust. In order for us to affect change in our community, we first need to develop partnerships on all levels - agencies, funders, schools, in all areas of community - as it is when we work together that we become most effective. Collectively the Trust has many skills, however although we have dabbled in the odd flier, we have relied heavily on networking.

We would welcome the development of a partnership with a student who could help us to help others by contributing their skills to our cause.
