Vision / Mission / Goals

Vision: To impact positively on the lives of young New Zealanders.

Mission: The Foundation for Youth Development will coordinate initiatives, manage and support programmes, raising funds to ensure their sustainability.

Aims: To adopt multiple programmes for a range of specific groups, that are proven to impact on negative youth outcomes. To manage the delivery of multiple programmes to a broad range of children and young people. To maintain the highest standards of governance and programme effectiveness. To be seen by Government as a key provider of child and youth development programmes, working collaboratively with government, funders and other organisations. To publish research and results.

What we currently do in the way of marketing

We have done occasional radio and newspaper adverts for Project K mentors; pamphlets and brochures.

Message to Students / How you can help

One challenge is to engage our Project K students through better technology. We want to develop a multi-media platform for students that links from our Project K website to a social networking space that links to online goal setting. This would also link to our programe & evaluation database. We need someone with the technical skills, but more importantly great design ideas to come up with something other young people would want to use.

We would absolutely love to work with someone through Ymedia - we've got a great office in Albany, PCs and a Mac and a really friendly and supportive team.
